Once Upon a Hong Kong
A visual memoir like no other, Once Upon A Hong Kong is a stirring collection of personal work by local artist-illustrator Don Mak which captures everyday life in an ever-changing metropolis. Each painting is a poignant reflection of what Hong Kong has become today as a tribute to his beloved home and a legacy that he hopes to pass on to his daughter. Featuring a striking use of colour in Mak’s signature style and a meaningful narrative by his collaborator Miss Black Cat, the bilingual book (Traditional Chinese & English) serves as a time capsule to be cherished for those who hold Hong Kong in their hearts.
Don Mak also recorded 6.12 scenes in the inside pages of book-cover.
